Located at Omni Square Bassonia, a premium convenience shopping centre positioned at the intersection of Comaro, Soetdoring, Alwyn and Meerkat Avenues, the new Pantry store is designed to be easily accessible for residents and visitors alike.
The expansion is another power move from Marble Hospitality who continue to expand their business in the hospitality space. And just a side mention, the same company is currently in the works to open its first hotel in Sandton.
Now for those who will be popping in to check out the Bassonia store, you will be spoiled to the much loved Pantry favourites, freshly prepared meals, sandwiches, salads, pizzas, burgers and pregos, alongside a wide selection of grab and go options. A dedicated coffee station anchors the space, complemented by artisan pastries, breads and baked goods crafted by Pantry’s award winning pastry head chef Megan Meikle and her team.
Sweet treats remain a highlight, with soft serve, milkshakes and nostalgic Pantry classics including weekend pancakes and Donut Wednesdays, where new flavour combinations are introduced on the last Wednesday of every month.
The store also features an expansive wine selection curated by Marble Hospitality sommeliers, as well as a bespoke butchery offering premium pre packaged meats, with specific cuts available on request.
Beyond food, Pantry Bassonia includes fresh flowers by Lou Lou D, curated pantry essentials, gifting items and homeware finds, reinforcing its identity as more than just a convenience store. Like its Hazelwood counterpart, the space operates as a standalone food and lifestyle destination.
While inspired by the interior layout of Pantry Hazelwood, the Bassonia location introduces bespoke touches tailored to its neighbourhood, from subtle shifts in colour and texture to playful lighting details that create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
