adidas is making its official return as the kit sponsor for South Africa’s national football teams, following the conclusion of Le Coq Sportif’s four-year partnership with the South African Football Association (SAFA).
The newly signed three-year deal sees the global sportswear giant become the official technical sponsor for both Bafana Bafana and Banyana Banyana, reaffirming adidas’ long-standing connection with South African football.
The collaboration will see new home and away kits introduced from January 2026, with adidas set to reveal the designs in the coming months ahead of their retail release. This deal comes with an offer that will cover match wear, training and pre-match apparel, travel ranges and a comprehensive fan collection. Fans can expect a blend of modern performance technology and heritage-inspired design, celebrating South Africa’s vibrant football identity.
To pencil this announcement, the three-stripes brand released a visual campaign reflecting on the 2010 World Cup with Bafana Bafana taking the spotlight wearing the previous adidas kit. The campaign also features adidas stars Relebohile Mofokeng and Ronwen Williams.
As Bafana Bafana prepare for their appearance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, they’ll take to the field in the brand-new adidas kit.
