IN A NUTSHELL
- Louis Vuitton has unveiled a new flagship store at Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront
- The boutique brings together fashion, travel, fragrance and art in an elevated retail experience
- A standout Winter Garden and curated South African design elements make it one of the House’s most distinctive African stores
Louis Vuitton has opened the doors to its new flagship store at Cape Town’s Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.
Relocating within the V&A Waterfront, the new space offers clients access to the House’s latest Men’s and Women’s collections across clothing, footwear, accessories, travel pieces and Les Parfums Louis Vuitton, while delivering a shopping experience designed to feel both immersive and intimate.

The journey begins with an intricately carved wooden façade inspired by Louis Vuitton’s signature Epi leather, immediately setting the tone for the craftsmanship found throughout the boutique.
Inside, guests are welcomed into beautifully curated spaces where handcrafted Japanese wallpaper, bespoke furnishings and sculptural displays showcase the House’s iconic collections. Dedicated areas for women’s fashion, men’s ready-to-wear and travel each feature their own distinct atmosphere, connected through thoughtful architectural details and refined materials.

One of the boutique’s standout features is the Winter Garden, a tranquil space filled with natural light, lush greenery and panoramic views across the Victoria Basin. Designed for private appointments and exclusive shopping experiences, the space offers one of the most unique retail environments within the V&A Waterfront.

The boutique also celebrates a connection between global luxury and Southern African creativity. Louis Vuitton’s historic travel trunks and pieces from its Objets Nomades collection are displayed alongside furniture by South African design house Weylandts and artworks by Namibian artist Nicky Marais, creating a dialogue between the House’s heritage and the region’s contemporary creative landscape.

Louis Vuitton first arrived in Cape Town in 2007 before reconfiguring its original boutique in 2019. This latest move marks a new chapter for the brand in South Africa, reinforcing Cape Town’s growing status as one of Africa’s leading luxury retail destinations.
The new Louis Vuitton flagship is now open daily at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.
