The adidas Originals Studio 2025 is back in Johannesburg, bringing together the city’s creative pulse for a full-day cultural takeover on Saturday, 10 May at Victoria Yards. The event blends workshops, keynote talks, and music into one massive moment for creators and culture heads.
Workshops are hands-on and super intimate, with only 20 to 30 people per session, running alongside the talks. Expect practical knowledge from some of the best in the game. This year’s hosts include:
- Jana + Koos with “A Return to the Basics: Ideas, Sketching and Writing in the Brand Building Process”
- Solo (Backyard) with “Streetwear From The Ground Up: A Screen Printing Experience”
- Muzi with “Beats With MUZI”
- Spotify for Artists also brings industry insights directly to emerging talent
While these sessions go down, the main stage will be filled with keynote talks from a heavy-hitting lineup, including:
Thebe Magugu, Thatiso Dube (GALXBOY), Bee Diamondhead, Nandi Dlepu, Zethu Gqola, Reba Shai, Amanda Dandala, Jade Kelly Wilson, and more.
Once the sun dips, the day closes off with a high-energy music takeover. Expect a genre-bending DJ lineup with DJ Doowap, MUZI, and even Thebe Magugu behind the decks. Good food, drinks, and creative energy carry the night.
