IN A NUTSHELL
- JJJJound and PUMA reimagine the iconic Mostro silhouette in two refined colorways
- The design features premium suede, leather linings, and minimalist stitching details
- One exclusive “friends-and-family” version keeps the original strap design

JJJJound and PUMA are back at it again. This time, the creative Canadian studio puts its signature understated touch on PUMA’s cult-favourite low-profile sneaker — the Mostro. Once known as a 1999 performance silhouette, the Mostro has evolved into a go-to lifestyle staple among the fashion crowd, and this new collab is all about quiet luxury and subtle design cues.

The JJJJound x PUMA Mostro lands in two premium colorways: Brown and Navy Blue. Gone are the original strap closures — in their place, JJJJound opts for a classic lacing system that better complements the clean, refined aesthetic. The uppers are built with soft premium nubuck, paired with butter yellow leather liners that echo the brand’s minimal-yet-warm design approach. As expected, PUMA’s usual Formstrip branding is toned down to a whisper, only visible through faint contrast stitching along the sides.

What makes this version stand out is the attention to material and detail — from the spiked black sole unit to the JJJJound branding stamped on the insole, everything is executed with restraint and intention. There’s also a special friends-and-family edition which stays closer to the original 1999 Mostro design, complete with strap closures and a bold two-tone finish, but it won’t be available to the public.
This collab follows JJJJound’s 2022 China-exclusive drop with PUMA, and once again proves that sometimes, less really is more.
