Netflix Rolls Out Fresh New Look For TV Viewers

Netflix is giving its TV interface a major makeover. Starting 19 May 2025, the streaming giant will begin rolling out a redesigned homepage across TVs globally, promising a smoother, smarter, and more personal experience for users.

The update brings in a sharper layout that’s all about putting your favorite content front and center. Whether you’re into shows, movies, games, or just picking up where you left off, the new look is built to respond better to what you actually want to see. “We wanted to create an experience that was more flexible for our broad entertainment offerings, more intuitive and responsive to our members’ needs,” said Netflix’s Product VP, Kim.

So what’s new? First, navigation is now easier than ever, with always-visible shortcuts to Search, Shows, Movies, Games, and My Netflix placed at the top of your screen. These updates make moving through the app way faster and more user-friendly.

Next up, the recommendations engine gets an upgrade. As you scroll, watch, or even pause, the homepage adjusts in real time, offering new suggestions tailored to your mood and preferences. And with the new My Netflix hub, you’ll have a one-stop space to track everything you care about. This includes your watch history, saved titles, Continue Watching list, and anything you’ve set to Remind Me.

You’ll also notice better info at a glance. Now you can see a show or movie’s synopsis, length, awards, Top 10 history, and cast before committing to that binge session.

The redesign will hit most TVs and streaming devices first, with more to follow in the weeks ahead.

The mobile experience is also getting some new features, This will allow members to search for shows and movies using natural, conversational phrases like “I want something funny and upbeat.”
