  • Tems brings the Leading Vibe Initiative to South Africa on 21 March 2026
  • Programme supports women artists, songwriters and producers aged 18 to 35
  • Applications are open now and close on 28 February 2026

Naija superstar Tems is heading to South Africa with her Leading Vibe Initiative, landing on 21 March 2026 after powerful editions in Lagos and Nairobi.

Leading Vibe Initiative

Launched in August 2025, the initiative was created to support, connect and amplify emerging women in music across Africa, with a long term vision to scale globally. At its core, LVI tackles the ongoing underrepresentation of women in the industry, particularly artists, songwriters and producers carving their own paths.

Leading Vibe Initiative

The South African edition will welcome women creatives aged 18 to 35 who are ready to grow both creatively and professionally. Expect curated sessions focused on songwriting, music production and the business of music, alongside mentorship, networking opportunities, workshops and masterclasses.

Participants will gain hands on insights from influential industry figures, with advanced production technology powered by Native Instruments. Speaker announcements are set to follow closer to the event date.

Leading Vibe Initiative

The initiative has already made impact across the continent. The inaugural Lagos edition gathered 20 emerging Nigerian women creatives for an immersive two day programme that opened with an intimate dinner hosted by Tems. Nairobi followed in September 2025, expanding the pan African footprint with masterclasses, collaborative studio sessions and a fireside chat where Tems unpacked her journey and long term vision for women in music.

Global cognac house Hennessy returns as an official partner alongside Native Instruments will be helping provide the tools, platforms and resources needed.

Applications are now open till 28 February – Those interested can apply here.
