After last year’s cancelled Hey Neighbour Festival appearance left fans disappointed, Doja Cat is finally making her way to South Africa. The global superstar will headline the third edition of Global Citizen’s Move Afrika Tour this March.
The tour kicks off in Kigali, Rwanda at BK Arena on 17 March before heading to Pretoria at SunBet Arena Time Square on 20 March 2026. The announcement was made by Big Concerts this past week, with confirmation that general public tickets will go on sale from 18 February via Ticketmaster.
Now in its third year, Move Afrika returns to Kigali and expands to South Africa in partnership with pgLang and Kendrick Lamar.
“From my South African roots straight to the world stage, we’re bringing energy, purpose, and real change to Move Afrika in Kigali and Pretoria. This isn’t just a tour, it’s a movement that creates jobs and opportunities that last,” said Doja Cat. “I’m proud to be part of something that celebrates Africa’s creativity, invests in its future, and shows the world that Africa isn’t coming, it’s already here.”
The initiative continues to position itself as more than just a concert series, focusing on long term impact through job creation, skills development and investment in the creative economy.
Doja Cat, who has often spoken about her South African roots, shared her excitement about being part of the movement. She described the tour as a platform that blends energy, purpose and real change, celebrating Africa’s creativity while investing in its future.
