Cape Town Art Fair has cemented its position as the leading international art fair on the African continent, and its 13th edition promises to raise the bar even higher.
Taking place from 20 to 22 February 2026 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), the fair brings together a diverse mix of celebrated local and global galleries to present cutting edge contemporary art at the height of Cape Town’s summer season.
Guided by the curatorial concept Listen, the 2026 edition introduces a sensorial and conceptual framework that encourages deeper engagement and exchange. This year’s fair will feature 126 exhibitors from 34 cities and 22 countries across five continents, showcasing works by more than 490 artists.
With 42 exhibitors making their debut, the edition reflects both growth and renewal while remaining rooted in discovery and innovation. Also attendees will also get to indulge in Workshops, Talks programme, Art walks and First Thursday installations.
The fair also marks the largest presence of galleries from cities new to the event, including Andorra la Vella, Douala, Lugo, Lusaka, Marseille, Palermo, Santiago de Compostela, Stockholm and The Hague. A strong international showing from cities such as Barcelona, Lagos and Paris further reinforces the fair’s global reach and relevance within the contemporary art world.
Renowned for its intimate yet globally significant atmosphere, Investec Cape Town Art Fair continues to act as a vital meeting point for collectors, galleries, curators, artists and art lovers from around the world. With an expected 30,000 visitors and 10,000 VIPs, the fair fosters meaningful connections at the intersection of the fast growing African art market and the international scene.
As the fair enters its most ambitious chapter yet, Cape Town Art Fair remains a powerful platform for cross cultural dialogue, creative exchange and artistic excellence on a global scale.
