Jacquemus and Timberland have teamed up for a new footwear collaboration, and it is smooth like butter. The Jacquemus x Timberland “La Bateau” 3-Eye Lug Boat Shoe officially kicks off a partnership full of creative potential, starting with a limited drop in buttery yellow.
Named “La Bateau” by Jacquemus, this elevated take on the Timberland classic draws from the original 1978 silhouette. It blends rugged heritage with the minimalist cool that Jacquemus has become known for.
The shoe is crafted from premium leather with a soft leather lining, finished with durable cotton laces and a chunky lug outsole. Custom touches include a co-branded metal lace keeper and square lace-tip eyelets that subtly nod to Jacquemus’ design language.
While the boat shoe itself is a staple from the docks of New England to the beaches of the French Riviera, this collaboration updates it with a luxury twist. It is the perfect blend of workwear and high fashion, made for summer days and streetwear fits alike.
This partnership also adds Timberland to Jacquemus’ growing list of collaborators. Earlier this year, the French fashion house gave a sneak peek at its latest project with Nike during Paris Fashion Week Men’s. That upcoming drop reworks Nike’s original Moon Shoe from 1972, updating the archival runner with a fresh yellow colour and waffle sole.
